A Letter From the President

Dear Colleagues and Friends,

The Esodata Project represents one of ISDE's most significant commitments to advancing esophageal cancer care through collaboration. Since its inception, this initiative has brought together institutions from around the world, united by a shared goal: to learn from our collective data and improve outcomes for patients.

As we look to the future, I want to reaffirm ISDE's dedication to this mission. We are taking this moment to thoughtfully consider how Esodata can continue to serve the community with the greatest impact. While we define our path forward, the strength of this network, the clinicians, scientists, and institutions who have contributed so generously, remains at the heart of everything we do.

Thank you for your continued partnership and trust. I look forward to sharing the next chapter of Esodata with you soon.

Sincerely,

Dr. Lorenzo Ferri
President, ISDE

Our Global Network

A Worldwide Research Community

We are grateful to the 108 contributing institutions worldwide, whose dedication has made this work possible. To date, over 18,000 patients have been enrolled across the history of the Esodata project. This collective effort, including thousands of patients, is currently being used to inform the upcoming revision of the international system for staging esophageal cancer.
